Once upon a pandemic, in the year 2020, we swiped right on a future we never saw coming.
Brittany was in Ohio, where Shwetank had just escaped to from New York—the epicenter of it all. Two souls, destined to meet amidst the chaos, found solace in each other.
Our first encounter was over a delicious meal from Brassica, one of our favorite spots. As we shared our favorite dishes and lost ourselves in conversation that stretched into the night, it felt as if the universe had conspired to bring us together. From that moment, we became inseparable—riding bikes around town, exploring new cities, trying different cuisines, and embracing each other’s cultural traditions.
Our relationship blossomed as we traveled back and forth between Ohio and New York. After a year, we decided it was time for a big move—across the country to the vibrant streets of San Francisco. With a few suitcases and a shared sense of adventure, we embraced our new life among the city’s hills and fog. It felt like the perfect next step in our journey together.
Then came the cherry on top of our love sundae: a spontaneous trip to London. After a day of exploring, as we strolled along the river with Big Ben in view, he pulled out a ring fit for a royal. In that beautiful moment, surrounded by the historic charm of the city, she said yes faster than you can say “paneer tikka!”
Now, as we prepare for our next big adventure—wedding bells ringing—we can’t help but laugh at how a pandemic turned into a love story for the ages, blending our Indian and American cultures in the most beautiful ways.
Through every twist, turn, and international escapade, we've learned that love isn’t just about the big moments; it’s about finding your partner in crime and creating memories that last a lifetime.
And so, our journey unfolds, with each chapter more exciting than the last. One thing we know for certain is that together, we can conquer anything—unless it involves deciding who gets the last bite of dessert!
A TRIBUTE TO FAMILY
As we embark on this exciting journey together, we want to take a moment to express how vital our family is to us.
They’ve been our cheerleaders, our confidants, and our guiding lights through every twist and turn. From family gatherings filled with laughter to heartfelt conversations that have shaped who we are, the love and support we receive from our families mean the world to us.
We’re incredibly grateful to have such amazing people in our lives, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by all of you who have helped us become the couple we are today.
IN LOVING MEMORY
While we celebrate our love and the joy of family, we also want to honor the memory of Shwetank's Father, Ravindra Rana, who we lost just a few years ago. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support have left a lasting impact on our lives.
Though he may not be with us physically, his spirit continues to guide us, reminding us of the importance of love and connection.
As we gather together to celebrate, we carry his memory in our hearts and know he is cheering us on from above.
